I like the rebels. The outsiders. Those people who - in their time - rarely make sense, only to later prove their prescience. They have visions and commit to them. They burrow beneath the surface. They trust their instincts and pursue patterns only they can see. And, ultimately, they change our lives. 

I believe we can make rebellion work for us.  

I'm a brand strategist and idea person with roots in qualitative research, and strategic workshop facilitation. I value deep thinking. I need to weave outside influences into my work. I like making obscure connections and tracking backwards. I take the outsider perspective. 

I work with people who want to bring nuanced insight into their brand/marketing/innovation processes. I have an international point-of-view, and 20 years of varied experience across the breadth of consumers, categories, marketing and brand questions.

I've seen briefs, RFP's, and pitch decks of all shapes and sizes. I've worked with insight and marketing teams, agencies - big and small. I understand the ways and challenges of lean and large organizations. I play well with others; aiming to keep it simple, thoughtful and engaging. I genuinely love to share ideas, talk and think, and inspire adults to act like kids - towards the collective goal of building something resonant. 

I work independently because I'm a relentless learner, and have eclectic interests: I want to submerge in different worlds, meet and collaborate with varied people, create cool stuff, and stretch. Owning my time means I make the most of it.

When you need to dig into your category/competition/ users to fuel communications or product development. I conduct all manner of qualitative research from online communities to ethno's,and have a strong network of partners across data analytics and quantitive research.

When you need to corral and inspire stakeholders and partners to come up with key strategic ideas and activations. I design and run workshops that are both fun and to-the-point bc fun without action is kindergarten.

When you need to craft a point of view, internal mission video, personas/bring targets to life. With a vetted team of editors and producers, I write concepts, and create videos from original and found footage.

When you need a perspective on the greater cultural waves, influences and signifiers that surround your product, your target, your category.  I conduct expert interviews and partner with semioticians to create a cultural framework that grounds your brand in the now, and gives an exciting view into the future.
